The annual Winter Tennis Tournament was held from January to March for various events. The Nippon Club’s tennis tournaments, which began in 1978 and are now in the 47th year, are run by the Tennis Committee and the volunteer organizers, and promote friendship among Nippon Club members and tennis enthusiasts, including non-members as a guest, as well as employees and families of member companies.
The January and February tournaments were held at the Carrie Rees Indoor Tennis Courts in the Bronx, and the March tournament was held at the USTA National Tennis Center indoor courts in Queens, where the U.S. Open is held every year.
