The 48th “Nippon Club President’s Cup” Annual Baseball Tournament Final Result

  This year’s Nippon Club President Cup baseball tournament began with preliminary league play on Saturday, May 3 at Randall’s Island Ballpark, followed by the finals and closing ceremony on Saturday, July 12. The final game was a showdown between two major trading companies, Sumitomo Corporation of America (team name: SUMITOMO) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) (team name: Mitsubishi Corp. (Americas)). After a heated battle, Sumitomo Corporation emerged victorious. Additionally, the third-place finishers were Kajima Building & Design Group (team name: KBDG Mashers)and KPMG LLP (team name: KPMG). Following the conclusion of the final match, an award ceremony and closing ceremony were held, during which various prizes were presented.

  This year’s tournament had a total of 13 teams, and was divided into three blocks for preliminary leagues and a final tournament

  We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of our sponsors of the member companies for their support. We would also like to thank all the teams that participated and the members of the Nippon Club Baseball Club Committee for their cooperation in organizing the tournaments. This year’s baseball tournament came to a successful conclusion. We hope to have more teams to participate and make the tournament even more exciting next year.
