2026 Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Fund

• The devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck central Kumamoto prefecture on July 28, 2026 displaced whole communities, homes, landmarks, and businesses. Affected areas still experience frequent aftershocks amid the intense summer heat, reaching up to more than 104F in the first week of August. Certain communities are also facing power outages, road blockages, and shortages of water and food.

  Consequently, JCCI and Nippon Club have established the “2026 Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Fund” through the J.C.C. Fund, and we ask you to kindly consider providing contributions to help the affected communities recover and rebuild. Specifically, we are raising money to donate to a charity which will go directly toward emergency supplies and relief for those affected by the earthquake. We wish for the safety and swift recovery of all victims and their families.
