When Ryuichi Sakamoto died in 2023 at age 71, the world lost one of its greatest musicians: a classical orchestral composer who gave us the music for films like The Last Emperor, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, The Revenant, and many more. As a final gift to his legions of fans, filmmaker Neo Sora (Sakamoto’s son) has constructed a gorgeous elegy starring Sakamoto himself in one of his final performances. Neo Sora in person for Q&A on March 16 at 3:30pm and Introduction on March 16 at 6:30pm!
