The Nippon Club held its annual Summer Festival—themed “It’s Showtime”—at The Penn Club of New York on Wednesday, July 22,

For the first part of the reception, guests began by enjoying welcome drinks in the first-floor library, followed by a buffet dinner and live jazz music in the venue on the second floor.

After the dinner, it’s showtime! The hosts are actor and voice actress Saori Goda and Masaaki Maeda, Vice President & Assistant Secretary of the Nippon Club.

The first entertainment featured “Jazz Hot Baby,” a physical comedy performance by New York-based clown and physical comedian Mariko Iwasa. Her performance style—which incorporates physical comedy and actively involves the audience—filled the venue with laughter.

The second entertainment featured a live jazz by the “Ryo Sasaki Quintet + One,” led by New York-based jazz trumpeter Ryo Sasaki. The powerful instrumentation and brilliant vocals electrified the venue, creating an atmosphere of tremendous excitement.

To conclude the entertainment, the guests enjoyed a collaborative performance featuring a jazz set by the “Ryo Sasaki Quintet + One” and tap dancing by Ms. Iwasa.

At the end of the event, everyone enjoyed the announcement of the raffle drawings. Winners received a variety of luxurious prizes provided by our sponsor companies. The venue was filled with excitement over the numerous lavish prizes, and the party concluded amidst the excitement.
