21 Flower arrangement with seasonal blooms

Make a flower arrangement with seasonal blooms and greenery! In this workshop-style class, you will learn how to condition flowers, use floral tools and arrange one-of-a-kind beautiful arrangement. Design tips such as how to successfully balance your arrangement and add a professional finishing touch will be discussed. You can take each class as an individual workshop, but each class will cover a different technique (such as using tape or chicken wire) for those of you who want to take all 3 classes as a series.

Koko (Makiko) Takeuchi
Koko (Makiko) Takeuchi has been working as a floral/event designer at prestige floral design studios in New York City. She worked at Ovando where she designed events for clients such as Armani, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Salesforce and Major Foods as well as many beautiful weddings. Currently Koko is a lead designer at Rachel Cho Flowers where she designs event florals as well as retail gift arrangements.

With a career history in graphic/branding design, Koko is a concept-driven thinker and expertly coordinates sophisticated visual elements in a wholistic approach. She worked as a creative/art director and graphic designer for two decades in various design fields such as retail/consumer products, food, fashion, film, and music — thus gaining a wide perspective and deep understanding for various clients’ needs.

A native of Japan, Koko has been living in the USA since her mid-teens. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Washington.
Lesson fee $35 (1 Lesson) $40 (Flower materials fee )
