Through participation in sports tournament events such as Baseball, Golf, and Tennis, club members and guests can deepen the friendship amongst them.
- Nippon Club Baseball Tournament started in 1976 to commemorate the United States’ 200 year old founding, and was designed to promote Japan-US friendship through sports. Every year, held as “Nippon Club President Cup”, exciting games unfold before cheering family members and employees in what has become a summer tradition in New York.
- Nippon Club Golf was launched in 1958, and is held twice a year in tournament form every summer and autumn. Its popularity is due to the way people of different industries, as well as expatriates from Japan and local New York residents, can all mingle with each other throughout the tournament. This allows for it to be a place of great fellowship for club members. As an individual game with handicap rules, players need not worry about the score as they simply enjoy a weekend of playing for pleasure.
- Nippon Club Tennis was founded in 1978. It begins every winter with the practice reunion in December, and then runs from January through March. Various competitions are held such as men and women singles, doubles, and the team tournament. A large turnout of tennis enthusiasts gather to compete every year. All are welcome as participation is open to all levels and ages, including beginners.
