8TH ANNIVERSARY MEMORIAL
FOR JAPAN’S EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI VICTIMS
Do you still remember the shock and grief that struck Japan on March 11, 2011? Eight years have passed since then. Today, people are going on with their lives, but their trauma and sorrow will never go away. Several new disasters hit Japan in 2018, including the deadly storms and flooding in southwestern Japan, the Osaka North Earthquake, and the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake. Many people suffered. These unpredictable disasters remind us that we must always help each other. Over and over, we still hear the same message from the affected Tohoku regions: “Please do not forget us”. So let us come together again, listen to those voices from Tohoku, and once again send our prayers to the survivors and the souls who were lost. Our message is: “We have not forgotten you. Together we will overcome and help Japan recover”.
