Ceramic Hand Forming Workshop by Kanae Yunome
Let’s make your own Matcha tea bowl or sake cups!
In this workshop, participants will create a tea bowl or two sake cups using a technique known as coil pot, which can be used in their everyday lives. With this method participants of all levels will be able to create a unique and beautiful final piece. At the end of the class, artists will choose a glaze, and receive their piece within three weeks.

Born in Sendai city, Japan. Creates and lives in Montclair, New Jersey. A student of the world-renowned, ceramic artist, Marek Cecula at Parsons School of Design, Kanae mastered her skills in slip casting before opening her own studio in NYC. Since moving to Montclair, Kanae has been active in the community, guiding children and adults alike in enjoying clay everwhere while raising 3 daughters.
