Notice Regarding the Nippon Club Partial Closure Due to COVID-19
The Nippon Club has been temporarily closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 since March 18 2020, to ensure the safety of our members, guests, and staff. However, Bar & Grill open for dining in on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays (lunch and dinner). Also the private rooms is available. Please see below for the details.
We will notify when it’s fully reopen. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Although The Nippon Club is closed, we have several services and programs available for our members to participate in safely from their homes.【Important Notice】
All visitors to the Nippon Club building for indoor dining the age of 5 and older are required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination completion or negative test result of one of the COVID-19 tests, which the visitors took at the earliest 72 hours before arrival.
You must have received your vaccine shot of two doses (or one depending on the type of vaccine you have received, for example, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) at least 14 days before your visit. Visitors over the age of 18 are also required to present a photo ID.
Acceptable proof of vaccination includes a CDC-issued vaccination card, the New York State Excelsior Pass, the Clear Health Pass, the NYC COVID Safe App, or other official immunization records from within or outside the US, including from your healthcare provider. For the COVID-19 test, please bring the PCR or rapid test result by lab test/home kit.

We have been offering online courses that you can take from home and in person as well. The details will be posted on our website as they become available, so be sure to check the website often. You can apply for each course on its respective course page.

Bar & Grill is open for dining on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please make a reservation at least 3 business days in advance. We recommend that you make an early reservation as we will operate at an occupancy rate of less than 50% of the full capacity and limited weekdays.
Private rooms – Rose room, Sakura room, Eagle room, Bluebird room, and Bar & Grill (private use) are also available from Wednesday to Friday (Reservation is required. Room charge applies. Up to 2.5 hours).
* Vaccination proof or COVID-19 test results are not required for the visitors to use the rooms without food & beverage services.
However, we continue to ask for your cooperation in body temperature checks on arrival and wearing face coverings inside our facility.

The Nippon Club Main Dining Room is offering a “pick-up” bento service for its members. A variety of bento boxes of salmon, sushi, Japanese eel, and other authentic Japanese delicacies can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
